The United Service Organizations (USO) Accountants Salute the Troops Council and the New York Mets partnered to prepare care packages for members of the United States military serving overseas during the holiday season on Thursday, Dec. 7 at Citi Field. The event was held as a way to give back to the troops on National Pearl Harbor Remembrance Day.

Members of the accounting firm Sax LLP volunteered to prepare these care packages for the troops. They were led by Peter J. Scalise, SAX LLP’s National Partner-in-Charge of the Federal Tax Credits and Incentives Practice. Scalise is also a member of the USO’s Global Advisory Council, the USO's Northeast Region Advisory Board and the Founding Chair of the USO’s Accountants Salute the Troops Council. “SAX is deeply honored to partner with the USO’s Accountants Salute the Troops Council and to support our brave troops serving worldwide,” Scalise said.

The USO’s Accountants Salute to the Troops Council brings accountants together across the country to provide greater awareness of the USO and to strengthen the well-being of the people serving in America’s military and their families.
